Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on [10/12/25].
Common Grounding is committed to making our website and our activities accessible and welcoming to as many people as possible. We want everyone who visits our site or takes part in our work to feel supported, included, and able to engage fully.
Our Commitment
We aim to ensure that our website is accessible in line with recognised standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. While we are continually working towards meeting these guidelines, we recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process and welcome feedback from our community.
On Our Website
We have taken steps to make our Wix website usable for visitors of all abilities. These include:
• simple, readable page layouts
• clear headings and navigation
• alternative text for images where relevant
• high-contrast text and backgrounds where possible
• compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation
• responsive design for mobile and tablet devices
Wix’s built-in accessibility features also support these efforts.
We acknowledge that some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to improve this and will update the site regularly.
Workshops, Projects, and Events
Accessibility is central to our practice. For in-person workshops and community projects, we strive to:
• offer clear information in advance about venues, access routes, and participation needs
• work with accessible and welcoming spaces wherever possible
• adapt activities in collaboration with participants
• create an environment where people can take part in ways that work for them
• provide additional support when requested, within our resources
If you have specific access requirements, please contact us before attending a workshop or project so we can support you as best we can.
What We’re Working On
We are committed to improving both digital and in-person access. Our ongoing priorities include:
• improving alt text and image descriptions
• ensuring all new content meets accessibility standards
• reviewing colour contrast and visual clarity
• expanding information about access at our events and venues
