Ismael Nchoutnsu Nsangou
Dance Film Residency
In February 2026, Common Grounding supported Sanctuary Scholar and artist Ismael Nchoutnsu Nsangou in a residency to develop a new dance film. We supported Ismael to gain new skills in movement and to develop his own physicality and embodiment. Working together over the course of the residency, Ismael created Liminal, a dance film now in post-production with sound by Hughie Gavin. Liminal will premiere at our Homeward Festival at Kollectiv Gallery, Folkestone, during Refugee Week 2026.

Tom Tegento
Script Development Residency at ARK Cliftonville
In April 2026, theatre-maker Tom Tegento undertook a residency at ARK Cliftonville, Margate, supported by Common Grounding, to develop a new script with mentor support from Geoffrey Chambers. The residency gave Tom dedicated time and space to deepen his practice, and the work developed significantly over the course of the process. Tom will share part of this developed work as a staged reading at our Homeward Festival at Kollectiv Gallery, Folkestone, during Refugee Week 2026. Visit Tom's website
